Pixie Cut

Now many men simply go with the flow and either give themselves a buzz cut or shave their heads. This can look very attractive and even professional. While most women won't consider baldness as an option, a very short pixie cut may be the perfect solution if you have the face for it.

Layered Cut

Getting a layered cut will add fullness and height to your hair naturally. Long hair or hair that is cut all one length tends to weigh itself down. A layered cut is more bouncy and can be further accentuated with styling spray or hair volumizer. Using a round styling brush to lift the hair up while blowdrying gives you a much fuller look that will last all day if fixed into place with a light spray. Use hairspray underneath your hair while brushing it up and away from your scalp, this will help it stay fuller all day.

Hair Extensions/Hair Weave

If you simply can't imagine having a shorter style, consider hair extensions or weaves. Using natural human hair, most salons can weave extensions into your own hair to create a much fuller look. Extensions can last for up to two months before having to be redone and nobody need know except you and your hairdresser.

Style with Bangs

For a receding hairline pattern of hair loss, creating a style with bangs will effectively disguise this condition. If your hair is thinning all over as well as receding, wispy layered bangs will stay in place and work well with many styles. For hair that is still quite thick but just receding in front, try blunt cut bangs. In either case a light misting of spray while brushing them out from beneath with a rounded styling brush will keep them in place all day.

Curly Perm

Perming can give you curls and fullness while disguising thinning hair. The tighter the curls, the longer a perm usually lasts but gentle curls and waves can make a big difference. A big advantage to many permed styles is you don't have to spend much time styling and fixing your hair--just blow dry and go.

Choosing the Right Hair Color

Hair color can make a difference too. For women with light skin, having black or very dark brown hair shows the scalp easier. Try a lighter brown, auburn or even blonde to make it less noticeable. Darker women may find that keeping darker hair, closer to the skin tone of the scalp, really helps.
